Broken water line to the dock
Broken water line to the dock
I’m having to make a back post because I’ve been so busy. Last weekend I spent the morning working on the mower blades on my 0 turn mower. They needed to be replaced and I bought blades on Amazon but after getting the old blades off I could tell right away these new blades do not fit my mower. This is my number 2 complaint about Amazon. It’s so difficult to get parts that fit particular models of equipment even though you use exact model numbers in the search of those parts. I’ll have to work on a return, if I can. I ended up using my angle grinder to sharpen the old blades and then I mowed.
The sharpened blades worked just fine but while mowing the back yard I must have run over a PVC riser that feeds the hose and cracked the PVC. By the time I made my return lap water was gushing out of the ground near my turn off valve. I hopped off the mower and ran to grab my water valve turn off key. The water valve itself was submerged so I couldn’t actually see it. I had to use my hands to feel the valve and then placed the key on it so that I could turn the valve to shut it off. While doing so I broke off one side of the PVC turn valve handle. I was able to get the water turned off but now I also have to repair that handle.
I haven’t yet done the work to fixt this so I’ll make a new post about that and link the two for continuity.
