Making progress
Making progress
Today’s post is just a thought about the progress I’m making against my year plan. Its the middle of January and I have to say I am on fire this month. Let’s take an inventory of the successes.
Wins since the start of 2024
- Saved $1495 on auto insurance
- Tuned the budget
- Created a weekly spend graphic for the refrigerator
- On target with Financial Planning for young people
- Bought my first t-bill
- Went on vacation
- First run complete of business taxes
- Blogged and posted content here
- Designed my garden
- Renewed Motley Fool subscriptions
I think these wins are a result of making a plan and having objectives. Its important to have plans on what you’re going to accomplish during the week. I’m even starting a new concept that I came across while studying. The idea from Katie Hawkins-Gaar is that we should write our intentions for the week so that we are more likely to get it done and can reflect on our accomplishments at the end of the week. Here is the link to the template and article. This just might nudge me to journal.
