Life’s distractions
Life’s distractions
It’s been awhile since I last posted. In fact it’s been a month. What have I been doing over the last month that has kept me away from posting? Life has a way of side tracking you from your goals. I think it’s important to have a mechanism for yourself to keep you on track. This year has proven to me that even with my own natural ability to get things done, I am easily distracted. It’s not that what I’m doing isn’t important, except maybe playing Diablo IV, it’s that I wanted my life’s path to take a particular direction.
Let’s take a look back at what I did do over the past 4 weeks. My last post was on April 21st about a vacation that was about to go into the toilet. I managed to salvage that trip by throwing money at the problem. I thoroughly enjoyed myself on that trip. However, there was a lot of work to do to get there including mowing my land and yard so that when I came back it wouldn’t be all overgrown. I barely got everything in order before we left on the trip. When I came back I had a week to get prepared for an upper and lower endoscopy as well as my daughter’s visit. They hung out with me for 4 days. It was wonderful having them and I’m blessed that they choose to spend their time with their old man. After that I had to be in Dallas for a doctor’s appointment and I spent some time with my mom. Those trips are always good and I enjoy spending time with her. When I got back from that trip I went fishing with the boys with a guide and that pretty much brings me to this week. There was one other ad hoc fishing trip a few days ago. I have been busy. I haven’t been able to work on my goals, like Python learning. I’ll need to pick that back up asap.
Now I’m getting ready for Memorial day weekend with my daughter. Only one will be coming this time. This is also a major race weekend with both the Indy 500 and F1 Monaco races scheduled to run on Sunday. I’ll be watching the Indy 500 for sure and Monaco will probably wait until the next week. This is going to be a fun weekend and maybe next week I can resume normally scheduled programming. Lol, we’ll see.
