Once again

Once again

I am finding it difficult to stay focused on my goals. It’s now June and the last post I made was 22-May. 18 days without a post. Is it because I’m just not busy? No, that isn’t the complete story. I do admit that I am distracted by video games but that isn’t the reason. There is something else that is getting in my way of living up to my goals. There are 2 goals that I am not actively pushing. One is my daily journaling and the other is my Python learning. Let’s take a look back and see what I’ve been doing.

  1. Memorial day weekend. My daughter came to visit us on Memorial day and we a mini party for the Indianapolis 500 race. That Saturday was the inaugural float in the lake day but it didn’t last long because the water was still pretty cold.
  2. On 1-June we spent some time with neighbors as a neighborhood party. It was really nice seeing everyone and getting caught up, especially after all the storms we had.
  3. I mowed both my land and yard in between all of the days and days of stormy weather. The grass is growing so fast. I will be mowing the land again tomorrow and I fear there will still be places too wet to mow.
  4. I visited my mom and attended some doctor’s appointments which pretty much wiped out the week of 3-June.
  5. I painted the trim and column on the back patio. Looks amazing. I had to get new paint mixed up because the original can of paint dried up. After I pressure wash, I am going to do the same work around the house. I makes a huge difference.
  6. The Meyer’s came down for the weekend on 7-June. I cooked made us pulled pork and they brought ribs, sushi and a ton of potato salad. We really enjoyed hanging out with our dear friends
  7. Now we’re about to run dogs to the vet and take care of some small errands.

So you see, it’s not that I’m not busy. It’s that I’m not taking the time to make the posts. I guess that’s the difference between the seasons. I’m more likely to be in front of my computer during the days in winter where as the summer means there is plenty of work outside. I guess I just need to make more time for journaling.
